 Case Study Andrew Molineaux 5 Day Intensive French Course Andrew joined the tutors in Biarritz whilst
between jobs. He wanted to improve his upper intermediate level French
to achieve more fluency and practice in an immersed learning
environment—all in preparation for a new job. Each of the 5 full days took the following structure: Cafe & Croissants (90 mins) Breakfast at a cafe in town with the daily French papers. Focused on improving conversation and pronounciation, improving discussion and articulation of ideas and thoughts. Morning Private Lesson (2.5hours) One to One Lesson focused on improving Andrew's General French needs. A large part worked on Andrew's tenses, conjugasions and grammer through a range of activities, exercises and games. The lessons were hosted at different locations in Biarritz ( this included the mediateque, the Casino and a private terrace overlooking the beach) Lunch Andrew was left on his own devices to explore, shop, relax and immerse himself in the town life. Afternoon Activity. (2 hours) Surf, pelote basque or tennis with a French Tutor. Coordinated with his learning the emphasis was on conversing and continuing to learn whilst having fun ! Early Evening Private Lesson (2.5 hours) One to One Lesson themed around a business need of Andrew's—meetings, negotiating, presenting etc Dinner & Evening Activity Each of the 4 nights an evening activity was arranged from a choice to suit all budgets.
